Commercial Sites
I was pondering how few British kit manufacturers are left in the face of the growth of ARTF models so I started to compile a list. It wasn't as short as I had thought.
| Anglia Model Centre | Bowman and Complete-a-Pac kits for scale models |
| Apache Aviation | Large scale Chipmunk kits and the new PT-19 |
| ATI Manufacturing | The Aerotech range of warbirds and more |
| Aviation Technics | Makers of the Laser 200 kits and the Raven |
| The Balsa Cabin | A small range of sports kits, including a pattern model and an Ultimate biplane |
| Cambrian Models | Famous for the Fun Fighter range, but also offering a direct range, including late mark Spitfire |
| Chris Foss | Who hasn't heard of these? Wot 4, Acrowot and the new Extrawot |
| Concept Models | Supply the Delta 20 and Swift 400 models |
| Cuban Air | Manufacturers of the Cuban series of pattern models |
| Dave Smith Models | Another pattern model manufacturer, the Aerostar is a popular model in our club |
| D.B. Sport & Scale | A range of scale aircraft kits, including Tiger Moths and a Corben Baby Ace |
| Flair Products | Probably the largest UK manufacturer of sports and semi-scale kits. Multiplex distributor for the UK too. |
| FMK Models | A range of kits for smaller engines |
| Galaxy Models | Have their own range of sports and semi-scale kits, including a Mustang, Comet Racer and electric sports. |
| Howard Metcalfe Models | Sports and scale model kits for both wet power and electric |
| JB Aviation | High quality sports and scale kits, including the SuperSport and the DH71 Tiger Moth |
| ModelCraft | Coventry based model shop manufacturing kits for pylon racing aircraft. Nice people |
| Pegasus Models | Have their own range of sports and scale kits plus a lot of kits imported from the USA |
| Pete Tindal's Airplanes | A range of funfly designs, Profilm and the large scale Sukhoi. What a nice man too! |
| Ratby Aeroplanes | The Jabberwock range and more |
| Warbirds | A series of 40 sized sport scale WW2 fighters |
The following links are non-kit manufacturers, but are listed because they have been great to deal with.
| Als Hobbies | I have used their mail order service, and bought from them at shows. Great prices |
| RadioActive | I really like their engine mounts! |
